Ashley Hamilton
Psychiatry Provider,
PMHNP-BC

Ashley Hamilton, PMHNP-BC, brings over 25 years of experience in pediatrics, having cared for children and families across all stages of development. Her journey in healthcare began as a medical assistant in a pediatric office while attending nursing school. She went on to become a NICU nurse for 12 years and later expanded her expertise in outpatient pediatrics, as well as inpatient and emergent access services at Riley Children’s Hospital.

Throughout her career, Ashley observed a growing and urgent need for stronger mental health support among youth. This realization deepened her commitment to advocating for comprehensive care that supports the emotional and psychological well-being of children and adolescents.
Her passion for mental health became personal when her own son faced challenges managing ADHD, executive dysfunction, and declining mental health in the school system. These experiences inspired Ashley to pursue advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Purdue University- West Lafayette, combining clinical knowledge with a parent's perspective.

Ashley is highly skilled in treating adolescents with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Her approach is grounded in listening—to both the child and the family—and considering the full picture. She recognizes that medication is only part of the solution and places emphasis on nutritional deficiencies, genetic factors, and home environment in crafting individualized treatment plans. Ashley’s ideal patient is between the ages 5 to 25 years but she is open to helping those up to 50 years.

Outside of her professional life, Ashley has been married to her college sweetheart for 21 years. Together, they have focused on building a life rooted in balance, family, and purpose. Ashley is proud to share that her son is thriving in college, studying Atmospheric Sciences, and her daughter is soon off to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling, exercising, volunteering, and cheering on her beloved Boilermakers!
