"The right diagnosis led me to the right treatment, and for that I am thankful" - Patient of Endurance

Who We Are: Endurance Mental Health and Wellness is full-service psychiatric practice that specializes in comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis and treatment. Our methodology uses an approach developed by psychiatrists at Johns Hopkins University.  This framework utilizes the ideals that patients are more than just a diagnosis; they are a collection of stories, events, and experiences that has shaped who they are and how they act.  Our goals for treatment include helping patients develop insight into how the experiences they have gone through impact the lenses through which they view the world and how they behave.

Core Values: We believe that when medicine and spirituality coexist, true healing can occur.  Faith based conversation will be an aspect of care that is addressed at the initial visit and can be accommodated or eliminated to fit your specific needs. We also believe that pharmaceutical medications can be an essential tool in mental healing, but can also be over utilized in modern psychiatry. We identify as fitting right in the middle between "western medicine" and "functional medicine". This means that we will use psychiatric medications when needed, but also discuss how dietary deficiencies, supplements, exercise, good therapy, and sleep will impact our wellbeing.

Kayla Beier identifies as a Christian and the core values of this belief shapes who she is and how she practices.

She believes that Biblical Principals can help provide a road map for direction and accountability in life,  however we do not identify with "nouthetic" principals (believing sin is the primary cause of mental illness). We also do not believe that Christians should be able to "pray their way out of mental illness" or "be better Christians" to achieve healing. We believe that seeking care for mental health struggles is a brave step and can co-exist with having faith.  Identifying as a Christian is not a requirement to receive care from Endurance Mental Health & Wellness and we do not offer Biblical counseling.
