What can I expect at my first appointment?A 1-hour detailed assessment of your medical, nutritional, behavioral history will be performed to ensure you are prescribed the right medication, if indicated. You will also receive a treatment plan that may include next steps for psychiatry, follow-up frequency, nutrition, lifestyle habits, and exercise counseling.

How often are my appointments?Appointment may range once every 2 weeks to once every 3 months. Follow up appointment intervals depend on patients’ goals, prescribed medication and progress.

What is a PMHNP?PMHNP stands for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This an advanced practice nurse that has gone on to complete doctoral or masters level training in psychiatry. The role of the PMHNP is to assess, diagnose and treat the mental health needs of patients. Treatment may include analysis, psychotherapy, counseling, medication, and hospitalization. The PMHNP uses knowledge of human behavior and mental health conditions to help patients manage symptoms associated with mental health and substance use disorders.

What is the difference between a PMHNP and a Psychiatrist?A psychiatric NP, also known as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), is an advanced practice nurse who cares for individuals with psychiatric and mental health disorders. A psychiatrist is a doctor who cares for the same population. In many ways, these two careers overlap. Both PMHNPs and psychiatrists assess, diagnose, and treat patients. Do you accept insurance?No. Endurance Mental Health & Wellness does not accept insurance, however we do accept payment with FSA/HSA. You may file a claim with your insurance company to potentially receive reimbursement for appointments. Insurance may be used to pay for medication and blood work.

What type of payments are accepted?We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Cash, or HSA cards. You may also use a health savings account. If you wish to pay with cash, a credit card number is still required to book the appointment but will not be charged if specifically indicated. We charge 50% deposit to book the appointment. Full payment is due upon time of service. At the end of your visit, you may be provided with a “super bill” that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement that will vary by insurance carrier. If you wish to do this, please let your provider know at the end of your visit.

What is your no-show or late policy?2 full business days (48 hours prior not counting the weekends) cancelation notice is required when canceling an appointment. Appointments that are canceled or missed without two full business days’ notice will be charged the full fee of the appointment. Appointments may be converted to telehealth visits from in person in the event of an illness if notified in advance.

Phone calls and emailsWe are not available to take phone calls during the day as we are seeing patients. Please leave a detailed voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible. Current patients are also encouraged to utilize the patient care portal to send secure messages to the provider. If calls and messages are increasing in duration and frequency, this may be a sign that we need to see you in clinic sooner and you may be asked to schedule a sooner follow up appointment.

Do I have to reside in Indiana to attend a virtual appointment?Per state law, please ensure you are located in the state of Indiana at the time of your virtual appointment. If you are not, we will not be able to see you and you will be responsible for the full visit fee.

Do I have to be a Christian to receive care here?Absolutely not. We believe that there are many universal truths that can be applied to many religious and faith affiliations. The spiritual component of your care will be based upon your comfort level.
